Our Archaeology collection consists of material excavated in the 1930s and 1940s from Bronze Age sites within the Lower Otter Valley.
There are also local surface finds from Palaeolithic to Roman times and a small number of artefacts, on loan, from the Royal Albert Museum (RAMM), Exeter from the Roman Villa site at Otterhead.
The museum holds a representative collection of local and West Country specimens that illustrate the geology, mineralogy and fossils of this part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
